In addition, French uses several accents.

These are: à, è, ù, (grave accents) and
é (aigu accent)
which only applies to e.
A circumflex applies to all vowels as well: â, ê, î, ô, û.
And also a tréma (French for diaerasis) for vowels: ä, ë, ï, ö, ü, ÿ and combined letters: æ and oe

aigu accent = should be pronounce as "accant-igu"
example: é - should be pronounce as "euh accant-igu
grave accent - should be pronounce as "ga-rve"
example: à - should be pronounce as "ah accan-ga-rve
circumflex accent - should be pronounce as "cir-kan-flex"
example: ê - should be pronounce as "euh accan-cir-kan-flex"
